China Mining Conference and Exhibition 2021，hosted by China Mining Association and supported by Ministry of Natural Resources of People’s Republic of China and Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, was held on October 21-23, 2021 at Tianjin, China.
经国家自然资源部、天津市人民政府指导，由中国矿业协会主办的2021年中国国际矿业大会于10月21日至23日在天津举行。
It is an important platform of promoting the prosperity and sustainable development of the international mining industry. It covers the whole value chain of survey and evaluation, exploration and mining, technology and equipment, investment and finance, trade and service, etc. It has become a barometer of the mining market and an indicator of industrial development trend.
作为国际矿业行业推进繁荣和可持续发展的重要平台之一，国际矿业大会展示行业内调研评估、探采矿、技术设备、投融资以及贸易服务等的全产业链信息，被誉为采矿市场的晴雨表和行业发展趋势的风向标。
Invited by the China Mining Association of the People’s Republic of China, Dr. Siyabonga Cwele, South African Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the conference. Ambassador said “Africa is dependent on the mineral economy and is a home to strategic minerals. The African Union Agenda 2063 seeks to transform African economies into manufacturing and industrial hubs that are driven by beneficiation of primary products, from sectors as mining. To this end, it is expected that the forthcoming AU Summit will approve the Africa Commodity Strategy. We call upon all investors and stakeholders in China to realize the opportunities to be presented through mining beneficiation for the regional and global market.”
受中华人民共和国中国矿业协会邀请，南非驻华大使谢胜文博士于大会开幕式上致辞。大使表示，“非洲拥有丰厚的战略矿产资源储备，离不开矿产资源经济的发展。非盟制定的《2063年议程》中提出经济重心将偏重制造业和工业中心的发展，包括采矿业在内的各行业要提高初级产品的价值。为此，下一届非盟峰会将通过‘非洲产品战略’。我们也望中方各投资人和利益相关方关注此次战略调整为地区和全球市场展现的机会。”
Ambassador also said that up to 85% of South Africa’s exports to China are precious metals and minerals. The scope of further cooperation with South Africa rests on exploration of new areas of metals and other high-quality mining resources, as well as cooperation in mineral production, including processing and value addition. South Africa also has planned to increase its share of global exploration expenditure to at least 3% within the next five years. This is yet another opportunity for investment.
此外，大使称南非对中国出口贸易中85%都是贵金属和矿石，两国下一步可扩大合作范围，探索更多的金属、高品质矿物资源和包括矿产加工和附加价值的矿产开采领域的合作机会。同时，南非计划将国际开采的支出在未来五年里至少提升3%，无疑是另一个投资机遇。
South Africa is looking forward to renewing our physical engagement and strengthening the bond of mutual cooperation for development and prosperity with China in the post-pandemic era.
在后疫情时代，南非期待与中国恢复面对面交流，加强互利合作的联系，以共促繁荣发展。
