CHINA MINING 2012 was held in Tianjin on Nov.4, 2012. Mr. Wang Min, Vice Minister of Land and Natural Resources, PRC and Executive Vice Chairman of CHINA MINING Organizing Committee, met with The Hon. Mr. Ezekiel Momakewa, Deputy Minister of Mineral & Energy and Water Resources of Botswana. The two sides had a friendly conversation and exchanged gifts to each other.
The two countries established diplomatic relations in January 6, 1975 and signed a trade agreement in September, 1986. After the trade agreement signed, the bilateral trade grew rapidly. China mainly exported textiles, electronics and high-tech products and imported copper, ores and concentrates, and diamonds from Botswana. (translated by TLRHVC)
