The Hon. Mr. Imran Khan, Director of Pakistan Geological Survey: Tianjin becomes the platform for international mining industry

This is the third time for The Hon. Mr. Imran Khan, Director of Pakistan Geological Survey to come to China and attend the 2014 CHINAMINING Congress and Expo. After viewing the Haihe River at night, he gave a thumb-up sign, “Tianjin is a very beautiful city and people are hospitable. I really hope that I can stay here for a longer time.”
“A rapidly developing China has many potential opportunities for cooperation. The CHINAMINING held in Tianjin allows these opportunities to come into reality. Tianjin has already become the platform for international mining industry. The governments and enterprises from all countries bring their good projects here. Pakistan is at an important period for accelerating development. I hope that Pakistan can introduce capital, technology, talents from China and achieve common prosperity.”
According to Mr. Imran Khan, at present, Pakistan is cooperating with Tianjin in a geological survey of the Himalayan region. The Himalayan region has very unpredictable climate and the geological condition is not suitable for people to live in. He hopes that through the cooperative exploration, the joint research results can benefit local people. (translated by TLRHVC)
