In the morning of September 23rd, 2017, keynote session on the theme of CHINA MINING Congress and Expo 2017 was held at Meijing Convention and Exhibition Center of Tianjin. Good morning!
I’m so happy to attend to CHINA MINING Congress and Expo. I would like to congratulate all the previous speakers and the participants. More and more mining companies come to this congress, which is the biggest one except Canada Mining Congress.
My name is David Carbonaro. I’m very happy to come here on behalf of Canada. I have been working in the mining industry for many years. As we all know, we still have many difficulties in finance and mining cooperation in the past five or six years. In the year 2016, the situation falled to the bottom.
Talking about Canada’s mining, we need to consider Canada’s stock exchange market, which I would like to introduce to you a little. In 2016, many investment entered into mining field. We can see many advanced investors entered into the mining field.
Let’s look at the mining companies listed in the Toronto Stock Exchange. This PPT shows many important companies (see PPT). We can see the investment opportunities in mining and many people know there are many investment programs in mining. In fact, they are very special investment opportunities. Now we have very smart investors who have made investment in these programs. The best way to invest in these companies is financing. However, private equity represents big risks for many companies.
We have many ways to invest, such as investing through other financial instruments. Here, we can see it also exceeds the investment standard. They can be together with this company in terms of investment. We can see the royalty investment can stay the same with the company.
Many advanced investment companies and small companies . Many juniorand small companies are in a disadvantageous position in the market. Many royalty invstement might flow into these companies.
Chinese companies and Chinese investors often make some investment in mining companies so they can make them to produce. I would like to give you an example: a very important point is that the risks of business entities coexist. Some risks will become more prominent after the transfer of programs.
A piece of good news is that we entered a very optimistic period. Mining financing has achieved great growth and more private equity has been made in mining field. Because of these trends, many small investors also entered into the mining field.
We hope China Mining Congress and Expo can cooperate with Toronto Stock Exchanges, where there are much investment that would like to be made in mining field and many listed companies have demand. We hope Toronto Stock Exchanges can act as a platform for the two sides to cooperate with each other.
In terms of Canada’s mining, TSS has a program in Canada, which enables the companies in the planning stage to obtain good financing channels and to enable these investments to have good liquidity. In many years’ practice, we hope the have more linking opportunities in mining.
Many big mining companies have gained many investments, but have not enough investments in retail goods. This is the investment we will make in retail goods in the next round. We hope to improve investments in this aspect, which will exert a big influence on TTS. Many mining companies are very attractive for TSS.
We can see many Chinese companies hope more capital and investment can be made in enterprises. We have many good opportunities in the past two years, when we can attract clients easily. Chinese participants can choose other investment instruments and methods except the private euqity and attract more and better investments through evaluation.
According to the statistics, the total investment reached 4.5 billion dollars. Many investments have been made in gold and copper. China is an active participant in many fields.
Generally, many investment fields concerning technology are very popular. Many fields have involved in the investment fields, such as zinc, chromium and lithium. In the past years, many lithium companies have been founded.
There is a very interesting data which shows China has a huge demand for battery technology. Some data is different from what people expected, especially that of gold. People expected gold market would recover more rapidly, but I thought it will be longer before that. Nickel is at a very taugh period.
You can see the price changes of chromium on this page (see PPT). Many people are expecting this number to continue to grow. We have a very good program, which is listed among TSS programs, a very good opportunity for Chinese businessmen and companies. It is a market calculated by Canadian Dollars. We also need some extra finance. Some have Chinese partners and some hope to attract Chinese companies. We mentioned that in hope of more and more Chinese partners are interested in this program.
Some programs are very hard to find. Generally, taking a look at the lists of TSS is very important. People paid attention to what the lists are like so that we can obtain market capital. It is a slow process to join in the market and we need to overcome some difficulties. In Toronto’s market, the growth rate is not very high due to the depressed market. But I’m happy to tell you many TSS companies are looking for investment in China and investment partners. Many of them are not Canadian companies any more, which really shocked us. This is a very good opportunity for cooperation. We can cooperate with these companies to create more wealth.
We all know where the good program is because many programs have been listed. These programs have shown great potential and have high quality technical reports. At the same time, the inforamtion is inclusive and profound. TSS has a very rich basis, which can enable Chinese investors to find some cooperation and supply opportunities.
