I, on behalf of Tianjin Municipal Committee of CPC, Tianjin Municipal People's Government, the Hon. Li Hongzhong, Municipal Secretary of CPC, and all citizens from Tianjin, am honored to express my warm congratulations on the opening of the splendid event and sincere welcomes to all the present leaders and guests from home and abroad.
As a major platform for the international mining industry to grasp dynamics and promote exchanges and cooperation, CHINA MINING has been successfully held for 19 times, and among them 10 were in Tianjin. And as a momentous event for global mining industry, it keeps on enlarging its scale, enriching its content and perfecting its function. With the theme of “New Pattern of Opening, New Model for Cooperation”， CHINA MINING organized summit forums, international mining exhibitions and constellations of thematic events, which attract more than 10,000 delegates from 69 countries and regions around the world and will play a significant role in promoting the sustainable development of the global mining industry.
Mining is not only an imperative basic industry of the national economy, but a crucial guarantee for national strategic security. Nowadays, the mining market has gradually recovered for the further advance of globalization, especially for the deepening of “the Belt and Road” initiative, which broadens space for the economic cooperation and development of mining industry. We hope to build a new pattern of global mining cooperation together through adhering to the concept of openness, mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, promoting the deep strategic cooperation in mining development and utilization, boosting the connections of mining capitals and the unrestricted flow of industrial factors, and finally establishing broader mining communities of shared interests, responsibility and common destiny.
Tianjin, the junction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road, the eastern starting point of the China-Mongolia-Russia economic corridor, and the major strategic pivot for maritime cooperation, boasts miscellaneous comprehensive advantages in location, ports, industries, and policy resources. Now, we are not only making efforts to implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, conscientiously fulfil the new development concepts of Innovation, Coordination, Green, Openness, and Sharing, and integrate into the “Belt and Road” construction, but comprehensively promote the major national strategy of coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and accelerate the constructions of the National Base of Manufacture, Research and Development, the Northern Core Area of Shipping, the Financial Innovation Demonstration Area and the Leading Area of the Reform and Opening-Up.
Tianjin has great development potential and unlimited business opportunities. So, we sincerely welcome friends and enterprises at home and abroad to share rare opportunities and achieve better growth through investing and starting business in Tianjin.
