On October 18-20, 2018, the Opening Ceremony of CHINA MINING Conference and Exhibition 2018 was held at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center. With the theme of “New Pattern of Opening, New Model for Cooperation” CHINA MINING comprised conferences,

Mr. Yan Guangsheng, chief engineer of the China Geological Survey, Ministry of Natural Resources China, presided over the forum.
Mr. Cheng Qiuming, President of International Union of Geological Sciences(IUGS), made a report on "Big Science Initiatives and International Collaboration for IUGS”.
Mr. Alex Ndubuisi Nwegbu, President, Organization of African Geological Surveys (OAGS); and Director -General of Nigerian Geological Survey Agency(NGSA), made a report on “the Organization of African Geological Surveys (OAGS)’s contribution to the development of African geosciences, and its cooperation with the China Geological Survey under the framework of China-Africa cooperation forum".
Liu Dawen, Division Chief, Division of International Cooperation Programme under the Dept of Science & Technology and Foreign Affairs, China Geological Survey, made a report on "Enhance China-Africa Cooperation on Geosciences to support the China- Africa Sustainable Development".
Tilahun Moges Zeleke, Director of Laboratory at Geological Survey of Ethiopian (GSE), made a report on “Ethiopia's Mining Prospect and Investment”
Fang Qixue, Executive Director and Vice President, Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd., made a report on “Zijin’s African Exposure”
Ms.Yu Jia, Ph.D. and Senior Operations Officer, Dept. of International Development Cooperation, Institute of New Structural Economics of Peking University, made a report on “Bring in Africa’s own advantages into play and exert synergy effect of cross-industry cooperation”
Lian Changyun, Mining Development Director of CGCOC Group, making a report on "Several key issues of African mining investment: from the perspective of Africa”.
Ms. Lamya Dafalla Abdalla Alturabi, Section Head -North Sector-General Directory of Production,Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Ministry of Petroleum, Gas & Minerals – Sudan, made a report on “The Prospect of Mining Investment and Cooperation in Sudan”.
Notka Anacleth Banteze, a geologist in the Tanzania Geological Survey, made a report on “Prospect of Geo-Science cooperation and mining investment of Tanzania”.
Malunga Daniel, a geologist in the Zambia Geological Survey, made a report on “ Mining Investment Opportunities in Zambia”.
Lu Xiaowu, Partner of Shuren (Beijing) Law Firm, made a report on “Risks and preventive measures for overseas investment in mineral projects”.
