Enorth News in Tianjin: From October 18th to 20th, CHINA MINING Conference and Exhibition 2018 hosted by China Mining Association was held in Tianjin, during which China's foreign aid human resources cooperation project held an opening ceremony,
initiated n-depth cooperation with more than 50 developing countries in mining industry, and provided officials and technicians from these countries with 7 periods of professional training in geological exploration, geophysics, mining, smelting technology and green mine construction.
The Opening Ceremonies of “2018 Seminar on Mineral Resources Development and Administration for Afghanistan”, “2018 Seminar on Geology and Mineral Resources Management for Officials from Developing Countries”, “2018 Training Course on Geological Survey Informatization Technology for Development Countries”, as learned, were held during CHINA MINING on October 20th. Even being held in the last day, the packed Ceremony was thrived by passionate national representatives from 28 countries including Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Guyana, Cambodia and Nigeria attended the event. It paved the way for the cultivation and exchange of geological talents.
"The foreign aid human resources cooperation projects which have been conducted since 2005 targeted developing countries. The projects providing them with professional training in mining for enhancing their human capital and technical level included not only theoretical training in geophysics, chemistry, geological exploration, informatization mining, mineral processing, smelting, but also field training projects such as field geochemical sampling technology and field geological mapping system.” Han Jiuxi, Principle of international training at Development Research Center of China Geological Survey, told reporters that, on the one hand, these free training helped developing countries improve their technologies of mineral exploration, collection and development; on the other hand, mineral-related projects brought by foreign guests could create opportunities for Chinese companies to “go globally” and achieve mutual benefits.
