Hosted by China Mining Association and organized by Tianjin Minexpo Co., Ltd. CHINA MINING Conference and Exhibition (20th) 2018 was successfully closed at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center on October 20th.
With the theme of “New Pattern of Opening, New Model for Cooperation”, CHINA MINING took “the Belt and Road” mining international production cooperation as the entry point, and strove to promote dialogue, exchange and cooperation with the global mining industry. During the fleeting three days, 60 Summit Forums all manifested their magnificence. Among them, the Theme Forums and the Summit Forums especially the Senior Corporate Executives Forum, the International Geological Survey Directors Forum and the China-Africa Mining Investment Partner Forum were particularly successful for the large quantity of attendees and good atmosphere. Among their streams, Forums of Mining Capital Market, Information Disclosure and Practice System, The Progress & Achievements on Geological Survey in China, Green Mines, Intelligent Mine and Uranium were popular. Besides, among Promotion Exchanges, Mining in South Africa, Argentina, Nigeria, Canada and Australia together with Tainjin Promotion Forum and Special Introduction of Haixi, Qinhai Province Province retained high popularity.
Compared with those in the past 19 years, CHINA MINING this year has reached a new level in terms of scale, standards and influence. According to official data, by the end of the event on October 20th, the number of registered delegates reached 5,088, including 906 foreign delegates. And there were 6,079 professional visitors, totally 11,167 participants, and 420 exhibitors including 93 foreign exhibitors, with an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters. Among 69 countries and regions that participated, 10 countries dispatched ministerial delegations including 5 ministers level, 5 vice-ministers, and 9 ambassadors and envoys. At home, 21 provincial units and 16 departmental leaders as well as 26 units of geological exploration and geology and mineral resources attended; 38 news media including China Mining News were also engaged in the all-round, multifaceted coverage of it.
Participants expressed their admiration for CHINA MINING. The Hon. Ms.Carolina Sánchez, National Mining Secretary, Ministry of Production of Argentine Republic said, “Tianjin has left a very good impression on me. I hope the development experience learned in Tianjin will bring opportunities for the sustainable development of the mining industry. I also hope Chinese companies will visit Argentina." The Hon. Aziz Rabbah, Minister of Energy, Minerals and Sustainable Development of Morocco, said, "We are very optimistic about the Chinese market and look forward to cooperating with Tianjin." Song Xin, chairman of China National Gold Group Corporation, said: "With the closer relationship between the two countries, China and Africa will cooperate more closely in mining industry." Delegates at home and abroad all expressed that the success of CHINA MINING has not only built a significant platform for further cooperation in international mining industry, but displayed the great power of China.
