Informed from the press conference of CHINA MINING 2012 held today (October 24th，2012 ), CHINA MINING Congress and Expo 2012, which was approved by the State Council, hosted jointly by Ministry of Land and Resources, PRC, Tianjin Municipal People`s Government and China Mining Association, organized by Department of International Cooperation & Science and Technology，MLR and Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Land & Resources and Housing Administration, will be held at Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center in Tianjin on November 3-6, 2012. CHINA MINING 2012 will be themed on “Join Hands to Meet Challenges and Promote Sustainable Development”, publicizing opening up policy of China mining extensively, and discussing on topics including sustainable development of global mining, global mineral exploitation and analysis, mining and capital market, mine environment & mine park and comprehensive utilization of mineral resources, etc.

Keynote session, mining minister forum and mining development forum will be held in CHINA MINING 2012. Special topic forums, 27 in total, which focus on sustainable development of global mining, global mineral exploitation and analysis, mining and capital market, mine environment & mine park and comprehensive utilization of mineral resources, etc, besides, country(region) investment projects shows, 9 in total, including Mining in Brazil, Russia & Central Asia, Canada, Australia, Greenland, Argentina, Sweden, Peru and African will be also held in CHINA MINING 2012. On the basis of previous events, CHINA MINING 2012 will organize agreements signing, negotiation and communication of mining cooperation programs from home and abroad, release a series of cooperation programs, promote and dock a series of programs, negotiate and sign a series of programs and further propel mining company from home and abroad to develop substantive program cooperation. CHINA MINING 2012 will introduce more new technologies and new methods of prospecting at depth and high-precision exploration to improve China geological and mineral technology and innovation competence. Different from previous CHINA MINING, CHINA MINING 2012 will extend the time of exhibition. Exhibition of CHINA MINING 2012 will be held from the afternoon of Nov.3rd to the morning of Nov.6th. Besides, Nov.6th will be an opening day, then, the volunteers from colleges and representative students from middle school will visit the exhibition and hear lectures delivering by experts on geological minerals about popular science of mineral resources, which will help to cultivate future geologists and better publicize China mining policy. CHINA MINING 2012 will be held just before the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. To present a “gift” for Congress of the Communist Party, guarantee the success of CHINA MINING and hold a higher quality and high-level international mining conference, the host Ministry of Land and Resources, PRC, Tianjin Municipal People`s Government and China Mining Association founded organizing committee of CHINA MINING 2012, which will enhance organization and overall coordination of preparations work. The organizing committee of CHINA MINING 2012 is directly organized by main leaders of Department of International Cooperation & Science and Technology of Ministry of Land and Resources and Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Land & Resources and Housing Administration. The organizers also founded scene headquarters of CHINA MINING 2012 and called on learning the spirit of China Space and promoting “Nine Working Spirits” (Never leave today’s work to tomorrow; Never leave work can be done now to later; Try every effort to solve troubles; Do important things in priority; Do complex work in order; Do time work in time; Find time to do trivial work; Help to do extra work; Careful to do everything.) in making preparations of CHINA MINING 2012. Related departments should work in close cooperation and guarantee every preparation work to be done well. It is known that every preparation work is developing smoothly at present. Both the number of attendee and the scale of exhibition have exceeded the corresponding period of last year. It is known from current registration that over 6000 representatives from more than 60 countries including China will attend the meeting. Mining ministers from 30 countries or so will lead a delegation to attend. 390 companies from home and abroad will take part in the exhibition. Exhibition area includes enterprise technologies, achievements show and outdoor equipment show. CHINA MINING 2012 will continue to select and award China Mining International Cooperation Award to encourage and promote opening up and cooperation of mining. Aiming at publicizing extensively in international mining circle, introducing achievements made by China government in improving mining investment environment and promoting foreign cooperation among mining companies CHINA MINING has been successfully held for 13 years in a row by now. CHINA MINING 2012 is the fourth time held in Tianjin. As a cooperation brand of China mining, CHINA MINING has become an important platform of obtaining information and seeking cooperation opportunity for mining company and related organization from home and abroad. About CHINA MINING Since first held in 1999, the scope and influence of CHINA MINING has grown rapidly year by year. As a global mining summit forum and exhibition, CHINA MINING Congress and Expo has become one of the world’s top mining events, and one of the world’s largest mining exploration, development and trading platforms, covering all aspects of the whole mining industry chain, including geological survey, exploration and development, mining rights trading, mining investment and financing, smelting and processing, mining techniques and equipment, mining services, etc. playing an active promotion role in creating exchange opportunities and enhancing mutual cooperation between domestic and foreign mining enterprises. At the project signing ceremony, 55 projects were signed, amounting to RMB15.7 billion, increasing by RMB 4 billion and by 34% as compared to the previous year. More than 40 foreign VIPs including 23 mining ministers and vice ministers as well as ambassadors in China from 18 countries and regions such as Australia, Canada, South Africa, Angola, etc. attended this session of the congress. Meanwhile, the congress attracted more than 100 medias and over 200 journalists from home and abroad to cover the congress. In terms of number of delegates and scale of exhibitors and booths, the CM2011 all topped the previous sessions, ranking the world’s premier mining congress and expo.
