On the morning of November 2th, CHINA MINING 2012 volunteers mount guard ceremony was held in Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center. Lu Hong, deputy director of Organizing Committee of CHINA MINING and vice director of Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Land & Resources and Housing Administration, presented a flag to the representative team. Huang Kejing, party secretary of Tianjin Land Resources and House Vocational College, Wang Mingyu, vice president of Tianjin Foreign Studies University, Shen Hong, vice director of Tianjin China Mining Exhibition Service Center, Yu Jing, party secretary of Faculty of Graduates Studies of Tianjin Foreign Studies University, were present at the ceremony. Lu Hong highly appreciated good performances of volunteers from the two colleges in CHINA MINING 2011 and put forward three wishes to volunteers from these two colleges in CHINA MINING 2012. First, practice commitment of volunteers, continuously promote volunteer spirit of “Dedication, Fraternity, Mutual-aid and Progress”, set up consciousness of overall situation, responsibility and image, and win honors for China, Tianjin and their colleges. Second, use intelligence and brightness to deal with problems decently. Third, seek opportunity to show yourself in the volunteer service. A volunteer should have lofty goals, pick yourself up, stand at a new start, find your own way of developing and finally improve your self-value. Representatives from the two colleges delivered talk. About CHINA MINING Since first held in 1999, the scope and influence of CHINA MINING has grown rapidly year by year. There were a total of 23 forums and 7 projects shows held with 425 promotion and negotiation projects introduced by the congress, increasing by 32.8% as compared to last year. At the project signing ceremony, 55 projects were signed, amounting to RMB15.7 billion, increasing by RMB 4 billion and by 34% as compared to the previous year. More than 40 foreign VIPs including 23 mining ministers and vice ministers as well as ambassadors in China from 18 countries and regions such as Australia, Canada, South Africa, Angola, etc. attended this session of the congress. Meanwhile, the congress attracted more than 100 medias and over 200 journalists from home and abroad to cover the congress. In terms of number of delegates and scale of exhibitors and booths, the CM2011 all topped the previous sessions, ranking the world’s premier mining congress and expo.
