Wang Min met with mining delegations of six countries and
signed the cooperation agreement with Cambodia and UAE
On Nov.4, Wang Min, the Vice Minister of Ministry of Land and Resources , met separately with guests of delegations from six countries coming to attend CHINA MINING 2012. The two sides talked about further strengthening the communication and cooperation in the field of geology and mining. Wang Min, on behalf of Ministry of Land and Resources, signed the proceedings and memorandum separately on cooperation with the department in charge of mining of Cambodia and Argentina.
Wang Min met separately with Tolesa Shagi, State Minister for Mines of Ethiopia; Ezekiel Momakewa, Vice Secretary for Mineral Resources, Energy and Water Resources, The Republic of Botswana; Sasara ChasaLa George Botswana ambassador to China; Tan Kim Vinn, State Secretary of Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, Cambodia; Jorge Omar Mayoral, Secretary of Argentina Mining; Gustavo A. Martino,Argentina ambassador to China; Oyun Erdenbulgan, Deputy Minister of Mines, Mongolia; Tsedenjav Sukhbaatar, Mongolia ambassador to China, Akhom Tounalom, Vice Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, The Lao People`s Democratic Republic; and their delegations.
Wang Min said it is meaningful to deeply exchange and cooperate in the field of geology and mining for promoting mutual development and mutual benefit and getting win-win result. He suggested the two sides keep the high-level contact, set up the contact mechanism between ministries, cooperate closer and have conversations on the subjects having common interest. The countries which have signed the memorandum of cooperation should take effective measures to implement the items agreed in memo. For countries had not signed the memorandum, China is willing to sign with them when the timing is mature to promote deeper cooperation. Meanwhile, he suggested the two sides strengthen personnel exchange and training, improve the level of geology survey and mineral resources development by project cooperation and training, further intensify information sharing, set up the sharing mechanism between ministries and exchange the mining information timely. The two sides also should actively promote and guide the cooperation among enterprises and China would encourage those enterprises with strength and responsibility to join in the mineral resources exploration in foreign countries and welcome foreign enterprises to China to invest.
