the Opening Ceremony and delivered a speech
Hosted by Ministry of Land and Resources, PRC and the UNESCO Beijing office，supported by China Geological Survey Bureau, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, The Global Fund Committee, the World Bank, UNESCO International Hydrological Programme, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization and IAH，organized by the Institute of Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology, Cags, “Groundwater Governance: A Global Framework for Action”4th Regional Consultation for Asia and the Pacific Regions was held in Shijiazhuang on Dec. 3. Wang Min, Party Member and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Land and Resources, PRC, director of the China Geological Survey Bureau attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Wang Min stressed that we should adhere to the concept of harmony of human and water, respect the laws of nature and economic and social development, coordinate the relationship between the development and protection of water resources, adjust water needs to local condition; and we should also persist in overall consideration, coordinate the use of water for life, water for production and ecological water, water of upstream and downstream, surface water and groundwater etc., to realize the sustainable development of regional groundwater resources.
