On May 10th afternoon, Mr. Wang Min, Vice Minister, Ministry of Land and Resources, PRC,  met with Zonbourne Rashason, Laos vice minister of the Department of Minerals and Energy, who participated in China- ASEAN Mining Cooperation Forum and Exhibition 2013,Nanning Guangxi. The two sides held a forum to further deepen cooperation in the field of geology and mineral resources. 

 Wang Min points out, China and Laos be linked mountains and rivers, which are similar in geological structure and geological unit. The mineral resources are very rich. How will the resource advantage convert to economic advantage as well as protecting the ecological environment, are the common problems they are both facing. In recent years, the two countries have started a series of cooperation in the field of geology and mineral resources and achieved remarkable results. 

To further deepen exchanges and cooperation, Wang Min put forward three suggestions: first, based on previous cooperation, China will continue to maintain high-level exchanges, and duly sign the ministerial level cooperation agreement to better guide the cooperation between the two sides. Second, cooperate actively to carry out substantial project. The cooperation between the two sides in Laos’s geochemical mapping project is progressing well.
