Wang Min Respectively Meets with Five Mining Delegations

Wang Min, Vice Minister of land and resources, China, director of China geological survey met with Willem Issacks, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Mines and Energy, Namibia;Germán Elías Alba, Deputy Minister, Minerals and Metallurgy of Bolivia; The Hon. Shri R.H. Khawaja, State Secretary, Ministry of Mines, India;Marian Campbell Jarvis, Assistant Deputy Minister for the Minerals and Metals Sector, Dept of Natural Resources, Canada; Jorge Omar Mayoral, Secretary of Argentina Mining, Federal Ministry of Public Investment Planning and Services of Argentina, and other members of the five delegations in the afternoon of Nov.03, 2013. The host and the guest had in-depth exchanges for strengthen further cooperation in the field of Geology and mineral resources.
Wang Min said, China adheres to the reform and open up policy, supports the strong and credible enterprises to invest abroad, and to participate in the exploration and exploitation of mineral resources in compliance with local laws and customs and regulations, hoping to promote good cooperation, and achieve mutual benefits. China also welcomes foreign companies to invest in China, and hopes that more enterprises would acquaint with China to enhance mutual understanding, lay the foundation for a wider range of cooperation. China hopes to establish a consultation mechanism with the competent mining department of foreign countries, to exchange the information of laws and regulations, and to timely notify the mining investment information to carry out substantial cooperation projects. Wang Min suggested the both sides would maintain high-level exchanges, duly sign a cooperation agreement, and agree to a specific cooperation projects and to be implemented. The host and the guest also exchange of views on how to strengthen personnel exchanges, and promote the cultivation of geological survey projects in the areas of cooperation.
During the meeting, Wang Min representing China transferred the achievement of 1:250000 geochemical mapping project of Northwest Argentina, which was completed by both countries.
