Wang Min met with Francisco Oleguer, Chile Vice Minister of Minerals and Staff

Wang Min, Vice Minister of Land and Resources, China, met Francisco Oleguer, Chile Vice Minister of Minerals and Staff, Beijing, Nov. 20 to talk about the further cooperation in the mining field and reached a consensus that a cooperation agreement would be signed the next April.
Wang Min said that China and Chile are both mineral resource-rich countries. As the mining authorities, China Land and Resources and Chile Minerals have been in friendly exchanges and cooperation relationship. Wang Min suggested that we should continue to maintain high-level contacts, strengthen dialogue and consultation, and sign cooperation agreements duly to promote the mutual cooperation in the mining field and strengthen bilateral cooperation in multilateral organizations such as APEC. Chinese enterprises are encouraged to invest in the mining field in Chile and welcome enterprises in Chile to come and invest in China.
Francisco Oleguer strongly agreed with Wang Min. He said Chile was willing to strengthen and maintain close cooperation relationship with China and strengthen cooperation in multilateral organizations to promote the normative development of global mining. He hoped that more Chinese enterprises would go to Chile and invest in the mining field.
