CHINA MINING Congress and Expo 2014, jointly hosted by Ministry of Land and Resources of the People`s Republic of China, Tianjin Municipal People’s Government and China Mining Association, is grandly opened today. On behalf of the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government and all the Tianjin citizens, I wish to extend a cordial welcome to all of you and warm congratulations on the opening of the conference.
CHINA MINING Congress and Expo has successfully entered its 15th year and has grown into a branding international conference of mining industry, a major platform for international exchanges and cooperation of mining industry and an important bridge for external cooperation of the Chinese economy. The theme of this year`s conference is “Sustainable Development through Innovation”. By studying and advancing mining industry’s development, it will certainly have positive effect on promoting economic transformation and upgrade, as well as sustainable development.
The mining industry is the support and guarantee of economic development. Nowadays, the world economy is recovering slowly while the mining industry is transforming and upgrading. It’s a major issue concerned by every countries and global mining industry to strengthen the study and judgment of mining industry and economic situation, and promote management innovation and technology revolution of mining industry. We should strengthen international cooperation, increase the innovation-driven development ability, jointly expand new areas of growth and work hard to advance economic sustainable development as well.
