Good morning everyone!
It is really a great honor for me to attend the splendid industry event of CHINA MINING Conference and Exhibition 2018.
I am the representative of Argentina. As a country affluent in respects of geography and mining resources, it boasts mining resources worth exploration and mining from across the world. We have both metal and non-metallic minerals, and I believe that the latter will be of greater demand with the advancements of technology and industrial transformation, especially with the rapid development of high-tech industries.
Besides, Argentina also desires impulse to national economy. In the process, we not only attach great importance to cardinal principles such as ethics, law and environmental protection, but also value harmonious relationships with locals. We hope to establish co-operations with international investors. And our goal is to attract more mining investment and promote economic development and national life.
Apropos of legislation, Argentina is a federal state in which federal government works with those of provinces and states to formulate and implement mining development plans. There is a Federal Mining Commission at the national level responsible for the relevant mining approvals and planning, of mining, also the formulation of environmental policies. It is expected to promote the harmony in mining industry and alleviate pollution effectively through strings of works.
We harbor very high expectations for the development of the mining industry, particularly for co-operations with the People's Republic of China on mining. We not only tend to emphasize the importance of mining trade in China-Arab relations, but welcome mining investors from China. And I really hope to invite Chinese mining practitioners here to visit Argentina and learn about our rich natural resources.
In Argentina, the Andes region is a treasure house of minerals bordering Chile. Considering that, we build a mining cooperation coordination mechanism with Chile, which is also a unique bilateral international coordination mechanism in the world. Mining sectors in Argentina and Chile work together to provide a unified tax and legal framework for mining investment for international investors.
I would like to take this opportunity to invite all of you to participate in the Road Show about the Argentine mining industry at 14:30 on the 19th. And we also brought the greetings of the Argentine President this time with hopes of establishing dialogues and exchanges and jointly finding development opportunities with all exhibitors and China’s mining personages and companies on this significant platform of CHINA MINING for the purpose of chasing new opportunities and co-operations for sustainable mining development.
