From October 17th to 18th in Tianjin, the Hon. Ling Yueming, Vice Minister of Natural Resources China met respectively with the Hon. Abubakar Bawa Bwari, Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Nigeria; The Hon.
Awad Elniel Dahia Daldoum, State Minister, Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals, Sudan, and The Hon. Pablo Terrazas, Vice Minister, Ministry of Mining, Chile, who all attended CHINA MINING 2018. They held talks and reached a consensus on strengthening geological and mining cooperation between Ministry of Natural Resources, China Geological Survey as well as mineral enterprises of China and three countries’ governments and enterprises.
Ling Yueming introduced the functions of China's newly formed Ministry of Natural Resources, and extended a warm welcome to foreign guests from the three countries on behalf on the Ministry. He expressed that it was necessary to continue to implement the results of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the requirements for expanding cooperation and achieving complementary advantages and mutual benefits advanced by President Xi Jinping in meetings with leaders of other countries to achieve complementary advantages and mutual benefits by consolidating the mineral cooperation between China and three countries of Nigeria Sudan and Chile, signing the Memorandum of Understanding timely and broadening new areas and methods of cooperation. CHINA MINING should function as a major platform to promote mineral cooperation between countries, strengthen multinational cooperation, continuously deepen geoscientific cooperation for enhancing the level of geosciences research, and actively support enterprise investment to optimize business environment and promote cooperation in mining projects.
Guests from the three countries expressed their high appreciation for the cooperation achieved with China and eagerly responded to Chinese proposals, saying that they would continue to deepen cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results for the benefit of their peoples.
