On the afternoon of July 21, Mr. Peng Qiming, chairman of the Organizing Committee of the China Mining Conference and Exhibition 2020 and president of the China Mining Association visited H.E. Mr. Luis Quesada, ambassador of Peru to China. The two sides briefly reviewed the achievements of cooperation between China and Peru in the field of mining, and exchanged views on mining investment opportunities in Peru, deepening mining information exchange and the China Mining Conference and Exhibition 2020.

Peng first expressed his gratitude to Peru for its long-term support to the China Mining Association and the China Mining Conference and Exhibition, and invited Ambassador Luis Quesada to attend the opening ceremony of this year's China Mining Conference and Exhibition to make use of this platform to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between enterprises of the two countries in mining projects, and proposed to establish a long-term mechanism for the exchange of mining information between the two parties.
Ambassador Luis Quesada expressed his gratitude to President Peng Qiming for his visit and invitation to participate in the China Mining Conference and Exhibition, and agreed to coordinate the invitation of Peruvian mining sector leaders and mining companies to participate in this event, and take this opportunity to show the world the investment opportunities in Peru’s mining industry. At the same time, he agreed with the proposal of establishing long-term and stable cooperation between the two sides, and would like to provide strong support for the cooperation between Chinese and Peruvian enterprises in the mining field.
The two sides also reached consensus on strengthening daily exchanges and establishing a cooperation and exchange mechanism between China Mining Association and Peruvian Mining Association.
