Inner Mongolia, the first three quarters of steady growth in raw coal production

According to data released by Inner Mongolia Bureau of Statistics, coal prices in Inner Mongolia remained at a good level in the first three quarters, economic benefits of the overall market improved significantly, and coal output showed a steady growth.
In the first three quarters, a total of 680.6644 million tons of raw coal was produced in large-scale industries in Inner Mongolia, up 12.8% over the same period of previous year, an increase of 0.1 percentage point from January to August. In the same month, 75.2104 million tons of raw coal was produced, up 11.8% over the same period of last year.
Anthracite: Inner Mongolia has a relatively low output of high-calorific value anthracite coal, accounting for 0.5% of the total coal output. It is mainly produced in the Alashan region. Affected by the suspension of production by some large enterprises, the industrial enterprises above designated size in the first three quarters produced 2.1280 million tons of anthracite coal, A year-on-year decrease of 46.7%.
Coking bituminous coal: Due to the oversupply of the downstream steel industry, the demand for coking bituminous coal decreased. In the first three quarters, the industrial enterprises above designated size in Inner Mongolia produced 16,136,800 tons of bituminous bituminous coal, down 1.7% over the same period of last year.
General bituminous coal: The general bituminous coal in Inner Mongolia is mainly used for the production of clean coal. Due to the continuous rise of coal prices, the industrial enterprises above designated size in the first three quarters produced 406.5255 million tons of bituminous coal, up 12.3% over the same period of last year.
Lignite: Lignite has low calorific value and is mainly used for power generation in Inner Mongolia. Affected by the large increase in power generation in the region, the above-scale industrial enterprises in the first three quarters produced 255.8123 million tons of lignite, up 15.7% over the same period of last year.
In the first three quarters, Ordos, Xilin Gol League and Hulun Buir City, the top 3 coal producers in the 12 cities in Inner Mongolia, all saw a significant increase.
Of which, the industrial enterprises above designated size in Erdos City produced 473,088,800 tons of coal, up 13.6% over the same period of the previous year, accounting for 69.5% of the total output. The industrial enterprises above the designated size in Xilin Gol League produced 70,186,300 tons of raw coal, up 37.6% over the same period of last year; and Hulunbeier industrial enterprises above designated size Production of 59,804,900 tons of raw coal, an increase of 5.6%.
At the beginning of this year, Inner Mongolia's large-scale industrial enterprises stock 6235.07 tons of raw coal. Sales of 684,646,900 tons of crude oil, sales increased 10.8%, an increase of 1.0 percentage points from January to August, of which 206,662,800 tons were sold to the province, an increase of 16.1% over January-August increased by 0.4 percentage points. The wholesale and retail enterprises above designated size sold 180,805,360 tons of raw coal in aggregate, up 13.2% over the same period of last year, of which 81,050,600 tons were sold to the province, an increase of 3.8% over the same period of last year. By the end of the first three quarters of the end of the above-scale industrial enterprises inventory of 59,020,200 tons of raw coal.
Inner Mongolia Bureau of Statistics also pointed out that from the coal production can be seen there are still two problems:
(A) The fourth quarter is expected to decline in the growth rate of coal production
Affected by the market from January to September 2016, the monthly output of raw coal remained at 60-70 million. By October, after the release of the production capacity policy, the output of raw coal increased to 77.5089 million tons in November and the coal in December Output of 81.3389 million tons. Output in the fourth quarter over the same period a larger increase, may result in lower end of the growth rate of coal output. .
(B) low-temperature coal product structure needs to be optimized

Due to resource limitations, Inner Mongolia bituminous coal production enterprises are mainly concentrated in Alxa League, accounting for a relatively low proportion of raw coal production enterprises. The output of large-scale enterprises in the lignite-producing areas in the central and eastern regions is lower and the production is unstable, resulting in a higher proportion of output of high-calorific value coal products in Inner Mongolia year by year Decline, the proportion of coal products with low calorific value keeps rising, and the structure of coal products needs to be optimized urgently.
