Xinjiang Huangyangshan graphite mine is expected to become a new resource development base

On November 14, the China Geological Survey held a symposium on the survey results of Huangyangshan graphite deposit in Qitai County, Xinjiang.
It is understood that "the Central and Western regions, such as crystalline graphite and other non-metallic mineral survey," two projects undertaken by the China Building Materials Industry Geological Survey Center, under the auspices of China Resources Bureau, the implementation of the "urgent and critical mineral resources and strategic emerging industries Mineral Survey "project. Chinese Academy of Sciences Mo Xuanxue and Wang Baoliang, Li Wenchang, Xing Shuwen and other experts to submit the project I-1 ore prospecting results were identified.
According to the expert's identification, two new ore bodies were found in the ore prospecting area of Ⅰ-1. The total amount of crystalline graphite mineral resources was 72,640,000 tons, reaching the scale of super-large deposits. Laboratory optional results show that the fixed carbon content of 6.15% of crude ore, graphite sheet diameter +0.15 mm accounted for 23%, good ore selectivity; graphite concentrate fixed carbon recovery was 94.87%, of which graphite diameter +0.15 mm, accounting for 12.01%, fixed carbon content of 90.17%, graphite sheet diameter of -0.15mm fixed carbon content of 95.15%, has good prospects for development and utilization.

The panel agreed that the Huangyangshan graphite deposit in Qitai County of Xinjiang is the first superlarge magmatic rock type crystalline graphite mine discovered in our country and opened up a new prospecting area for magmatic rock type crystalline graphite ore and changed the scarcity of graphite resources in Xinjiang And the distribution pattern of China's crystalline graphite resources, is expected to become China's new crystalline graphite resources development base for Xinjiang's economic and social development to provide a new impetus for China's strategic development of new industries to provide resources to protect. Experts suggest that we should continue to increase investment, expand the region, demonstrate on the spot, strengthen the comprehensive evaluation of geological potential, development conditions and environmental impact, and realize the transformation of achievements as soon as possible.
