Wang Min Met with Olyphant, Vice Minister of South Africa

On the afternoon of June 24th, Wang Min, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Land and Resources of China met with Olyphant, Vice Minister of South Africa mineral resources Department and his group in Beijing.

Wang Min pointed out that since China and South Africa are both BRICS and the world’s mining giants, it is important to strengthen the cooperation in the field of geology and mining. In recent years, China implemented the strategy of prospecting breakthrough action in domestic, increased the degree of mineral resources security, and actively supported the enterprises to go out to explore and exploit the mineral resources. Also China welcomes the mining enterprises of South Africa to have investment cooperation in China.

Wang Min reviewed the cooperation processes in the field of geology and mineral resources between the two countries in recent years. He pointed out that The Ministry of Land and Resources and South Africa’s Mineral Resources will keep friendly cooperation relations continuously. For the next step of cooperation, Wang Min put forward several suggestions: To further perform the Memorandum of Understanding of the governments in the field of geology and mineral resources, to further the cooperation; to build new mechanism and explore new ways, to make the mineral resources development more orderly and efficiently; to further strengthen geological survey, geological scientific research, the disaster prevention and cooperation on other scientific fields. Through the pragmatic cooperation, under the overall framework of china-Africa cooperation, we will create new highlight of cooperation, achieve mutual benefit and common development.

Olyphant introduced the mining development in South Africa, thought South Africa and China’s mining cooperation prospect better, the two countries  still should further strengthen pragmatic cooperation. Both sides also discussed about the cooperation matters.

What is the future trend of the gold price? How can the gold companies cope with the gold price volatility? What are the advanced technologies in the gold exploration and development? Gold mining giants from home and abroad, governments and mining authorities of the emerging economics, mining investment and financial institutions, leading consulting firms, technology and equipment providers recently gathered in Zhaoyuan to discuss the sustainable development of the gold market.

The International Gold Mining Conference 2013 was held in Zhaoyuan, Shangdong,, China on June 20 and 21, 2013. Wang Jiahua, Executive Vice Chairman of China Mining Association and Zhang Yongtao, Vice Chairman of China Gold Association attended the conference and delivered a speech.

"The golden period of global mining is not over, China`s urbanization and industrialization has not been completed, the demand for mining industry is very strong, we have confidence." Wang Jiahua expressed that though the price of gold will be affected by the recovery of US dollars, it will not fall into the bottom. The situation now could be said to be a tangle, while the hedging function of gold is unique.

At the meeting, more than 40 industry experts delivered keynote speeches on the five topics around 2013 global gold mining industry and market trends, gold and precious metals market analysis, gold mining finance and capital markets, gold mining company`s development strategy, advanced technology and innovative solutions in the gold mining industry and etc..

Among them, Albert Cheng, Managing Director of the Far East section of the World Gold Council made a keynote speech of "World Gold Mining Investment Markets and Trends," Lu Dongshang, Chairman of Shandong Zhaojin Group shared his understanding on the way to deal with price volatility to the gold enterprises. Lan Fusheng, Vice Chairman of Zijin Mining Group briefed participants the overseas mergers and acquisitions strategy of Zijin Mining.

Wang Jiahua: Optimize Various Elements, Form a “Aircraft Carrier Battle Group”

In the current situation, one of the hot issues in China`s mining industry is how to "go out", and how can we go further.

On May 26, in the national mining-seeking assembly (The 7th Hundred Geological Captains Symposium), the conference organizers held Chinese enterprises overseas mining symposium. Wang Jiahua, Executive Vice President of China Mining Association, together with the representatives, analyzed the current situation of "going out", and put forward the solutions.

Wang Jiahua said that China`s mining enterprises must use the international vision of "going out", realize the different situation in each different country, and according to different countries adopt different strategies and tactics so as to avoid the same pattern.

According to his introduction, from the point of general classification, the common points in developed countries are: complete mining policy and law, strong protection of environment, proper implementation of the market economy rule, powerful protection of indigenous people, much concern about human resource utilization in their own countries, and high labor costs; the common points in developing countries are as followed: basically sound law and regulation but does not reach the designated position, sufficient labor force but labor price rises gradually, increasingly attach importance to environmental protection but still has a lot of vacancy, abundance of mineral resources with fair potential, and the leading role of the government; Common points in relatively backward countries are: abundance of mineral resources, -500 meters shallow resources without exploration and basic geology is very weak, abundant cheap labor force, mining laws and regulations have a large scale space, relatively serious government corruption, poor infrastructure.

He combed the reasons why China’s mining industry "going out" is disappointing, which are: In form, mainly because of the backward production mode of small-scale producers; On the concept, the lack of international modern vision; On the operation, improper environment, including indigenous people, labor and other problems; On the standards, disconnection with international standards; On the organizational, lack of support, all the "solo"; On the strategy, not optimal division of labor, not obvious advantage, and obvious disadvantage.

"So we must renew the idea, innovate the form, build platform, guide operation, establish standards, strengthen the organization and reshape strategy." he said. Only in this way of paying attention to "going out" strategy and tactics, we can go further.
However, we need to build a risk exploration market like Australia, Canada. Without this platform, "going out" of China`s mining industry is the empty talk.

Wang Jiahua think, the first stage is the construction of Tianjin mining industry financial reform demonstration base, to form a pattern of "four in one", namely, doing a good job in mining conference, creating a platform of campaign, contact and   information exchange. Modify and improve the existing Tianjin Mining Right Exchange to make it become the risk exploration market platform connecting exploring results and capital. Form a third party service system to provide elements system of market service to the risk exploration market, including the law firm, mining rights appraisal firm, accounting firm, drilling company, laboratory, etc. Build good "capital" reservoir, because this is the "gas station" "Arsenal" of the risk exploration market. The “capital" reservoir includes various types of special funds, private equity funds, all kinds of financial products of financial institutions, and mining enterprise funds, etc.

He also vividly compared risk exploration market to "aircraft carrier joint fleet". Aircraft carrier itself has four big systems. Among them, the power system is to inject into the government resources, including the Ministry of Land and Resources, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information and Technology, the Ministry of Commerce and other public resources; Radar system is to do a good job in information collection, such as the real-time information of mineral countries including mining policy, investment environment, the risk degree, etc.; Communication system is to set up overseas connect points, contact points, such as building mining embassy counselor; Supply system is the "capital" reservoir.
"The aircraft on the carrier is the real productivity." He emphasized, "spy plane" is the geological exploration unit of ore prospecting, "fighter" is private enterprises and geological exploration units with a small capital, “bomber" is the large enterprises and financial enterprises with large capital development, "AEW" is overseas Chinese firms.

"To form a complete, three-dimensional defense system in fleet construction, single carrier is not enough. The mineral exploration and development, overseas mergers and acquisitions of mining projects, a high degree of risk determine the must of building a `carrier battle groups." He stressed that it is necessary to have "frigate” namely third party service system and "destroyer" namely the risk exploration market trading platform.

At the end of the seminar, on behalf of the China mining association, he also put forward to the "going out" road map of China`s mining industry: The private enterprises play forward and geological exploration makes efforts together with them. Big mining companies accept the offer, and financial supports don’t relax. Resident land converts into the cash, and leave some stock dividends. Large companies come into the make for development, and several parties will all be win-win.

He said, "going out" strategy which was the combination of various factors of enterprise could be successful only to use the various corporate advantages and lower the disadvantages to minimum. The charge of private enterprises lies in its flexible mechanism, relatively simple examination and approval procedures for overseas. Mergers need to catch the opportunity of changing. Therefore the charge of private enterprises is very reasonable. Risk exploration must have technical support, so geological exploration unit can raise the money themselves to the exploration or, also can undertake exploration through enterprise cooperation, the combination of whom can have better effects. In addition, no matter grassroots exploration or project merging, no matter it is a private enterprise or a combination input of private and geological exploration, faced with the problem of "offer acceptance", thinking exit before entering. Large companies’ merging is slow, so in the way of "offer acceptance" the cost can be decreased. Private enterprises and geological prospecting units obtain the cash through the transfer of stock share forming prospecting new productivity, optimizing the advantages, but also save some original stock, securing a stable income through the long-term effective mechanism of mining development.

For a specific path, he said, for large special fund purchase, purchase object is capital chain rupture stage, the primary exploration company that has better mining assets, control its 15% ~ 20% of stock share, not considering rewarding in short-term, but as a reserve, after waiting for its growth converted into cash or transfer to large mining companies. For enterprise’s commercialization merging, in the current situation, the project of commercialization merging should be subject to preliminary feasibility study or a bank study, and the advisable object is the listed company; Mergers team with rich operation experiences is advisable, and localization strategy is the primary strategy; The assets, at the present stage are advisable for mature project, facilitating rapid formation of cash flow; The project place for merging is advisable for the friendly relations with China, good infrastructure, less uncertainties; The price of the merging is advisable for the bottom of current market value; The strategy is advisable for reasonable combination support of private, geological exploration, big companies, financial institutions; The time of merging should be  rational, and decisions should be made quickly. Jiang Jianjun ：The Leading Role of Science and Technology in Prospecting

The Implementation of the strategy of prospecting breakthrough urgently needs the strong support of science and technology, a full range of continuous innovation and breakthrough in geological prospecting theory, method, technology and equipment.

On May 25, at the national conference on prospecting (the 7th leaders’ geological symposium), Jiang Jianjun, director general, Department of Science and Technology & International Cooperation, Ministry of Land and Resources P.R.C, mentioned at the forum on " new theory, new technology, new equipment" that they must adjust and optimize the ideas, methods, technology and means for mineral exploration, combine the theory and method of shallow-deep prospecting and intensive prospecting.

According to his introduction, in recent years, China`s geological prospecting has achieved remarkable achievements in the scientific and technological innovation, and realized independent innovation and development in major geological science theory and method of geological prospecting technology, such as the Innovation of China`s regional metallogenic theory, the deepening understanding of geological tectonic system in China, the establishment of a number of important mineralization belt prospecting model; successful development of China`s first set of the aeromagnetic gradient survey system, the development of aviation gravity, magnetic and electric exploration system and time domain aeroelectromagnetic and gamma spectrometry survey system, localization within 2000 meters full hydraulic core drilling equipment, X-ray fluorescence logging tool, large depth of multifunctional electrical method and portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometer, etc.
He introduced the focus of the recent work on science and technology to the participants: One is to strengthen scientific and technological innovation, accelerate the transformation of scientific research achievements. In view of the geological prospecting important theory problems, we should organize joint scientific research to play an important guidance role for geological prospecting work deployment in metallogenic theory and prospecting model, organize exploration technology introduction, research and development and application to improve overall technical level of mineral exploration, strengthen the comprehensive integrated major achievements to build geological prospecting technology innovation support platform through the implementation of national governments, departments and large survey key research projects

Second, it is to implement scientific and technology support plan of prospecting breakthrough strategy. Actively promote the agreement with scientific and technology department to strengthen geological prospecting technology research strategy and strategic agreement on the geological study of the Qinghai-Tibet plateau with the natural science foundation committee.
Third, the ministry of land and resources should issue as soon as possible " on further strengthening the innovation of science and technology " to drive the development of geological prospecting with science and technology innovation, explore the construction of geological prospecting technology innovation system, promote the cooperative innovation, vigorously support the enterprises or social power which have advantages in prospecting exploration, new energy exploration, equipment research and development  into the prospecting main force.

He stressed that we should make full use of scientific and technological achievements of geological prospecting, strengthen the popularization in practice, and pay more attention to the solution to scientific and technological problems in restricting the prospecting breakthrough.
He said for the technological problems, efforts to develop science and technology research would be intensified. One is to make geological prospecting technology research project proposals, to apply for the national "973" plan, "863" plan, support plan, science and technology plan of special scientific instruments and equipment development, etc. Currently there are 16 geological prospecting technology research projects led by the ministry of land and resources with total funds 800 million yuan. The second is to deploy and carry out them in the scientific research projects of land and resources in line of public welfare industry. At present, there are 122 projects in the basic geology, ore exploration, the comprehensive utilization of science and technology research, etc with1.3 billion yuan. The third is to make some arrangements in geological survey projects and research funding of provincial departments of land &resources.

In addition, he also introduced the demonstrative project on science and technology of monolithic exploration zone promoted by the technology and international cooperation department of the ministry of land and resources, which will deploy the overall national science and technology plan projects, land and resources public welfare industry scientific research projects, geology and mineral resources survey and evaluation projects to  develop joint scientific research, strengthen the transformation of scientific and technological achievements to promote the application, carry out full exploration area for practical supporting technology research and demonstration application. Recently, they have deployed demonstrative projects in Qinghai province Qi diffuse exploration area, Carla exploration area, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze river, Jiangxi Jiuling  area, Xiangshan uranium area, the southeastern Yangtze massif marginal exploration area, Qinghai Kunduz uplift belt and Jiangxi Zhuxi Tong Wukuang ore belt.

He also mentioned that the ministry of land and resources would promote the key laboratory into the main force, strengthen the talent cultivation, and reward outstanding contribution to ore-prospecting achievements on science and technology.

On May 22, Wang Min, Vice Minister of Land and Resources and Chief of China Geological Survey Bureau, met with Louis Schmidt, Chilean ambassador to China, in Beijing.

On behalf of the Ministry of Land and Resources, Wang Min welcomed the coming of Schmidt. He pointed that China and Chile maintained a good relation for a long time. He once visited Chile and had a profound impression on the prospection and development of Chile Copper, hoping to keep closer exchanges, deepen the communication of resource management, environmental protection, and for the world`s mining market situation analysis and countermeasures.

Wang Min pointed out that the new session of the Chinese government would further advance reform and opening up and promotes the transformation of government functions to release more market dynamics. China will further open the market of mining to further strengthen international cooperation, and sincerely support the cooperation of both sides in the field of mining, finding the practical and feasible way to mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation.

Schmidt said that Chile is China`s second largest trade partner in Latin America, and China is the first largest trade partner. The two countries maintain a close relationship in the intellectual economic and trade exchanges. Chile is a mining giant which accounts for two-thirds of Latin America. The mining Sector cooperation between the two countries is very important.

Fossil Summit Forum -China (Changsha) Minerals & Gems Show (CMGS)

At 9:00 on May 18, Fossil Summit Forum, one of the theme activities of China (Changsha) Minerals & Gems Show (CMGS) was hosted in the News Center of Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center. Fossil Summit Forum

The Fossil Forum was jointly organized by the Geological Environment Department at the Ministry of Land and Resources of P.R.C. and the People’s Government of Hunan Province and co-hosted by the Affairs Office of the National Fossils Experts Committee and Hua Xia (Hunan) Mineral and Gem Exhibition Co., Ltd.. Guan Fengjun chaired the forum, who is the head of the Geological Environment Department at the Ministry of Land and Resources (MLR) and Chen Xiaoning, deputy director of Geological Environment Department at MLR chaired the idea-exchanging  section in the forum. Wang Min, vice minister of MLR and the director of the National Fossils Experts Committee and Xu Yunzhao, deputy party secretary of Hunan Provincial CPPCC attended and addressed the forum. The members of the National Fossils Experts Committee, representatives from fossil museums at home and abroad, exhibitors, directors of the regulatory agencies responsible for protecting human fossils and heads of the fossil resources area management agencies and industry experts, which are about 300 delegates, attended the forum.

Shu Degan, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, director of Early Life Science Institute at Northwest University of China, Peter Larson, president of International Association of Fossils, Xu Xing, researcher of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jane Bramall, Australian scientist of paleontology and other guests participated in the forum and delivered the keynote speeches.

Jianchang County in Liaoning Province, China`s famous fossil resource-rich area, which abound in the "Biota of Yan and Liao Dynasty" and "Biota in Rehe Province" fossils, donated recovered statue of the famous fossils in Jian Chang to the Forum organizers, Wang Hongsheng, deputy secretary of Jianchang County introduced the fossils protection experience to the guests at the forum.

To display the fossils in the state-level international professional exhibition, and to host the Fossil Summit Forum on the global show of the fossils around the world for promoting exchanges through display and enhancing protection through exchanges are the new type of the exchange and protection of fossils spawned by the first CMGS, which fills the vacancy of the science popularization and exchanges of the fossils in China. Wang Min Met with Vice Minister of Mines and Energy of Laos

On May 10th afternoon, Mr. Wang Min, Vice Minister, Ministry of Land and Resources, PRC,  met with Zonbourne Rashason, Laos vice minister of the Department of Minerals and Energy, who participated in China- ASEAN Mining Cooperation Forum and Exhibition 2013,Nanning Guangxi. The two sides held a forum to further deepen cooperation in the field of geology and mineral resources. 

 Wang Min points out, China and Laos be linked mountains and rivers, which are similar in geological structure and geological unit. The mineral resources are very rich. How will the resource advantage convert to economic advantage as well as protecting the ecological environment, are the common problems they are both facing. In recent years, the two countries have started a series of cooperation in the field of geology and mineral resources and achieved remarkable results. 

To further deepen exchanges and cooperation, Wang Min put forward three suggestions: first, based on previous cooperation, China will continue to maintain high-level exchanges, and duly sign the ministerial level cooperation agreement to better guide the cooperation between the two sides. Second, cooperate actively to carry out substantial project. The cooperation between the two sides in Laos’s geochemical mapping project is progressing well. ASEAN---An Important Overseas Investment Destination

Themed by "strengthen the technical cooperation, promote the mining scientific development", the 2013 China- ASEAN Mining Cooperation Forum and Exhibition was held on May 10th in Guangxi nanning.

Chenwu, the president of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region addressed in the opening ceremony. Wang Min ,the Vice Minister of Ministry of land and resources, Yu Ping, vice chairman of CCPIT, song Ben pull Abies holophylla, Vice Minister of Ministry of energy and mines of Laos, gave speeches; Lin Nianxiu, vice President of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region attended. The opening ceremony was hosted by Jiang Jianjun, the director of science and technology and international cooperation department of Chinese Ministry of land and resources.

At the meeting, Wang Min said , as the development of the economic globalization, and regional integration, the development of mining industry of China and ASEAN countries are hither to closely together. Deepening the cooperation in mining is the tendency and also the requirement under the situation. China and ASEAN have strong complementarities in resources, and the China - ASEAN Free Trade Area offers good opportunity for bilateral cooperation in mining. Mining industry is an important pillar industry of China and ASEAN countries, and is also an important field of traditional investment between China and ASEAN.

Wang Min said, Chinese mineral enterprises have invested 76 cooperation projects in ASEAN counties since January to April mainly in Burma, Philippines, Kampuchea, Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and other countries. ASEAN has become an important destination for overseas investment of Chinese mining enterprises. Mineral products trade occupies an important 10%~15% in the trade between China and ASEAN. Mineral products are the main advantages of ASEAN exports. Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Burma, Laos and other countries export refined oil, coal, tin, nickel, bauxite and other mineral products to China. China mainly exports oil, phosphorus, fluorite mineral products to Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and other countries. The mineral trades enjoy low tariffs or zero tariff between China and ASEAN countries. Wang Min said the Ministry of land and resources of China and ASEAN countries mining departments have established a long-term friendship of cooperation in the field of mining technical exchanges, personnel exchanges and training cooperation through a series of bilateral cooperation and multilateral cooperation platform, and achieved fruitful results.

The China- ASEAN Mining Cooperation Forum and Exhibition is specially becomes the model of the bilateral exchanges and cooperation. This forum themed by "strengthen the technical cooperation, promote the mining scientific development"  is in order to exert the advantages of cooperation between China and ASEAN in the mining technology, to improve the ability of sustainable development of mining industry in China and ASEAN, and promote sustained economic recovery growth. China and ASEAN mining cooperation, not only promotes the economic development of their respective countries, but also makes important contributions to the sustained and stable economic development throughout the Asian region.

Wang Min pointed out that, in 2012, China Geological and mineral exploration investment was RMB 125.924 billion, the mining industry solid assets were RMB 1.31 trillion. Among them, the oil and gas mineral exploration investment was RMB 74.910 billion, the non oil and gas mineral exploration investment was RMB 51.014 billion. Last year China geological mineral exploration investment had the following characteristics:

Firstly, the geological prospecting made an important breakthrough. The new discoveries of solid mineral deposits in medium and large scale are 227. Among them, the large mineral deposits are 109. A number of hundred million tons of large oil and gas fields of ultra billion cubic meters had been found in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Jiangxi, Sichuan and Guizhou, which have form the base of coal, uranium, copper, nickel, tungsten, molybdenum, iron, bauxite and other important resources. Important mineral resources reserves continue to grow.

Secondly, the mineral products maintain stable growth. The output of crude oil is 2.07 trillion tons increasing 2.3% year-on-year. The output of raw coal is 36.5 tons growing 3.8% compared to the same period. Iron ore output is 13.1 tons, basically the same as the previous year. Ten kinds of nonferrous metal crop are 36722000 tons growing 6.9% compared to the same period. Most of the minerals consumption continues to grow.

Thirdly, the imports and exports of mineral products are active. The total import and export value is $991.9 billion growing 3.4% year-on-year. The import grows 1.4%, and export grows 7.6%. The imports of Crude oil, coal, iron ore, copper ore, nickel ore are larger. The import of crude oil is 271 million tons, growing 12.1%year-on-year. The import of coal is 289 million tons increasing 29.8%. The import of iron ore is 740 million tons growing 8.4% compared to the same period.

Lastly, the mineral exploration and development technology progress and make remarkable achievements. Frontiers of shale gas exploration, deep water oil and gas exploration made significant technological breakthrough. The field of deep ore prospecting, the comprehensive utilization of mineral resources have acquired a number of important technological achievements.

Wang Min stressed that China is synchronous advancing industrialization, normalization, urbanization and agricultural modernization, and striving to realize the overall goal of building a moderately prosperous society in 2020. In this process, the energy resources will continue to play an important role in supporting. We must do the following four aspects: one is to put the ecological civilization construction in a prominent strategic position. Adhere to the basic policy for domestic, and international, mutually beneficial cooperation. Promote the transformation and upgrading of industry to develop green mining. Build harmonious mining area, strengthen the mine geological environment governance, restoration and protection, and guarantee the supply of energy resources required for domestic economy the development. Two is to strengthen the exploration and exploitation of mineral resources, promote the integrated exploration, strengthen deep ore prospecting and the old mine prospecting, and construct demonstration bases of the comprehensive utilization of mineral resources. Three is to advance the mining technological innovation, encourage and support the mining areas of scientific and technological innovation, and vigorously promote the exploration and exploitation of mineral resources, comprehensive utilization of resources, geological disaster prevention, and promotion and application technology R & D. Four is committed to opening-up and cooperation with ASEAN countries by encouraging and supporting the domestic enterprise to expand mining investment, ant to conduce the mining projects which can develop the local economy, and improve the people`s livelihood. At the same time, as in the past we also welcome ASEAN enterprises to invest in China mining.

Wang Min also put forward three suggestions: one, the theme of the forum to further promote two-way investment in mining. China and ASEAN countries can make full use of the forum and other important platform to increase the FTA rules and various preferential policies propaganda. The better mining information exchange, the project negotiations and cooperation matchmaking can promote the enterprises to carry out substantial cooperation projects, actively explore and promote the mining investment facilitation policy measures, make full use of the mining department cooperation agreement on investment cooperation mechanism, strengthen and guide services, and  promote the expansion of two-way investment in mining industry. Two is to further promote the mining technology exchange. China and ASEAN countries have a solid foundation for cooperation in the field of mining technology, especially in the geological mapping, geophysical and geochemical exploration, mineral resources assessment and other fields, and have made a number of important results. The next step they will focus on green mining technology exchanges and cooperation by discussing strengthening deep ore prospecting, safe and efficient exploitation, comprehensive utilization of resources, clean energy development, mine environmental recovery governance and so on , and to explore the establishment of technology transfer and promote a new mechanism. Three is to further strengthen cooperation in mining personnel. The establishment of the China ASEAN cooperation in mining personnel exchange and training center is an important measure for China and ASEAN to strengthen cooperation in mining personnel.After the opening ceremony, Wang Min and Chen Wu, Lin Nianxiu, song of the salad Matsumoto together unveiled the nameplate for China-ASEAN mining personnel exchange and training center. Wang Min and Lin Nianxiu jointly signed the strategic cooperation agreement between China Geological Survey Bureau and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region government. Then, they attended the strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony between the government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the China Metallurgical Geology Bureau, and met the mineral officials participated the forum from Laos.

The China-ASEAN Mining Cooperation Forum and promote exhibition is sponsored by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region people`s government, the Ministry of Land and Resources of China, the Ministry of Commerce of China, and the China Council for the promotion of international trade.
